Gokhale Memorial Girls' College is participating in the Youth Parliament Competitions 2027 organised by the Government of West Bengal. The district level competition will be held at Bethune College in the third/fourth week of September. 

The competitions will comprise the following events:

1. Mock Parliament (a team of 15 members will simulate the parliamentary procedures within 45 minutes)

2. Quiz Competition (a team of two members will be sent by the college after the initial screening; topics: Indian Freedom Struggle, Indian Constitution, Parliamentary Procedures) 

3. Essay Competition (Indian Constitution, Freedom Struggle)

4. Extempore. 

Interested candidates are asked to submit their names (with department and semester) to a given format in the college office 2 by 18.08.28. The college will conduct auditions/screenings with the interested students before selecting the teams for the competitions.  

Please note: Participants are allowed to participate in one of the four events only (i.e participant selected for the Mock Parliament won't be able to participate in any of the other events as the schedules for them may coincide).
