three levels.
Computer course is compulsory for the students of Advertising,
Sales Promotion and Sales Management (ASPSM), and Communicative
English (Major).
The course is also suitable for the students of Mathematics,
Economics, English, Geography and Psychology Honours. However,
any interested student can enrol in any one of the three

the Pre-Primary Teachers Education - Montessori, a Diploma
course designed to provide participants an in-depth knowledge of
Montessori method of teaching-learning which revolves around
teaching strategies and methodologies developed by Dr Maria
Montessori and technical skills and knowledge followed all over
the world.
Expert faculty help participants gain the necessary skills to
become proficient teachers. This course provides participants
with an interdisciplinary understanding of current practices and
current issues in Pre Primary Teacher's Education sector along
with the science that makes it work.

Gokhale Memorial Girls' College introduced a Spoken English Course for interested students in collaboration with School of Languages, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture (Golpark) in 2022. Classes commenced from September, 2022, under the able facilitation of Smt. Sanjana Srivastava from Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture.
Objectives of the Course
To orient students who have studied English as a second or third language at the school level to acquire communicative competence with considerable knowledge of grammar and language structure.
To enable the enrolled students to grasp the language well so as to participate in academic and social situations where the usage of English is mandatory.
To develop the four language skills i.e., Reading, listening, Speaking and writing.
To train the students to apply their acquired knowledge in practical life and gain confidence to enhance their communicative patterns.
Profile of the Instructor
Sanjana Srivastava is an English Language teacher at
Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, School of Languages.
She has passed M. A (English) from the University of Calcutta
and B. Ed. from Adamas University, along with a certificate
course in Linguistics from Jadavpur University. She has
qualified CTET and WBTET. She has creative and academic
publications in peer-reviewed journals, magazines and
anthologies across states and borders. She has presented
research papers in various international and national webinars
and seminars.

Madhu from Ramakrishna Institute of Culture, the students are
attending their German classes. .

Gokhale Memorial Girls' College has introduced a free-for-all Add-on Certificate Course on "Personnel Management" for students. This course commenced on 6th October 2023 under the initiative and guidance of Sm. Aditi Chatterjee, M.B.A., SACT, Department of Advertising, Sales Promotion and Sales Management. Sm. Chatterjee will steer the PM course along with the faculty from the departments of Communicative English, Economics and Psychology.
Policy Guidelines
Personnel Management (PM) is a free Add-on course for developing human resource management skills amongst students.
Classes will be conducted both in off-line and on-line mode.
Announcement of the classes will be made well in advance to enable students to plan their attendance.
Offline class will be held preferably within college hours without encroaching on the usual schedule of classes.
Study material as necessary, shall be provided by the faculty.
The duration of the course shall be 30 hours and the minimum attendance of participants shall be 90 %.
Participants shall be evaluated/assessed through assignments and examination.
A certificate of completion shall be awarded to successful participants provided they attend at least 90% of the classes and clear the assessment process.
Objectives of the Course
To enable the enrolled students to grasp the various aspects of personnel (labour) management - how to interact and manage people.
To orient enrolled students towards acquiring skills in strategic labour management - recruiting, training, talent development, performance and reward management, leadership, organizational skills, strategy, employer-employee relationship, stakeholder management, industrial relations, labour welfare, stress management, workplace wellness and such others.
To equip the enrolled students with knowledge of the diverse scope of personnel (HR) management, to enable them to choose from many job options.
