All students are asked to participate in the Students' Week Celebration 2026, observed both online and offline. Program for the celebration is as follows:                   

 

Students' Week Celebration 2026

Gokhale Memorial Girls' College will observe Students' Week (a Government of West Bengal initiative) from Friday, 2nd January 2026 to Thursday, 8th January 2026.

 

 The tentative schedule is as follows:

a.       January 2, Friday-Veer Gatha: Stories of India’s Freedom Fighters in Digital Art”- a Poster Making Competition. Theme: Freedom Fighters of India. Conducted by- Smt. Aditi Chatterjee & Smt. Monami Ghosh.

b.      January 3, SaturdayAwareness  Programme  on Kanyashree & other Scholarship Schemes  by Government of West Bengal.

Conducted By : Dr.Newtan Biswas,    Dr.Sariful Islam   &

Dr.Anangga Mohon Panja. Time- 12 Noon .Venue  Room No Lt 2.

                                          and

Intra college Slogan writing competition. Theme- Human Rights in 2026. Conducted by- Dr. Mausumi Mukherjee.

 

c.       January  4, Sunday   - An online lecture session by Arup Kumar Goswami

State Aided College Teacher - 1, Department of Computer Science Vidyasagar College (affiliated to University of Calcutta). Title of the speech: Artificial Intelligence: Bridging Data, Decisions, and Action. Time- 2.30pm onwards.

d.       January 5, Monday – Intra college Quiz competition. Theme- Indian Cinema Bollywood and Hollywood. Conducted by- Smt. Sanjukta De. Time- 1pm to 2pm. Venue- LT-2

e.       January 6, Tuesday -  A small session on Resume Writing And Interview Preparation. Speaker- Jayati Sinha, Co-founder, Dzire Consultancy Services and Ex- HR Head (Joint Director) of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Conducted by- Smt. Aditi Chatterjee. Time- 11am to 1pm. Venue- LT -2.

f.         January 7, Wednesday – Youth in Viksit Bharat: Innovation & Leadership

Future-Ready Curriculum – Research, Innovation & Skill-Based Learning by NSS unit. Conducted by Dr Nabamita Chakraborty. Time- 1pm onwards. Venue- LT- 2.

g.       January 8, Thursday -  Benefits of Yoga for Health and Mental Wellbeing. Conducted by Dr.Sarama Das. Time- 1pm onwards. Venue-   LT-2.
